Probstein pack prices

Probstein had a bunch of 60's and 70's unopened packs ending tonight and I was surprised at how high a few of them hammered, specifically the 68 (wow!), 71 (with a few tears) and the 63. Although when it comes to unopened nothing surprises me anymore; glad I stocked up on this stuff when I did and it was cheap!! B)

Here's a link to the 71:

That PSA 7 71 pack would be regraded today as a PSA 3.

This pack was actually lower than the last two PSA 7 71 packs that Rick sold, which both eclipsed 2K.

Bidding war on the 68 pack, a seller's (or consignor's) dream..

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.

the 71 had to be for a registry set or to pair with a set. I was the underbidder on the 63 pack---a beauty. And it is a Mantle series--which was not advertised as such. That is why I went hard for it. kudos to winner--really nice pack

I had a snipe on the 71, but after seeing the large tear with about an hour to go cancelled it - luckily I saw it in time. Not worth it at that grade.
