Does anyone remember the website "currencydebasement" ??

I had it bookmarked and it seems to have vanished. It had multiple pages generally covering the different countries of the world by the type of coin metal . It listed silver coins from all countries on one page . Gold coins on another page , copper coins and another for nickle . It also had a page for which country's coins were demonetized or still convertible .

Yep. I had it bookmarked, too.

Here's a snapshot from the wayback machine:

That is the one , thanks . It seemed like for a while if you clicked to it a banner that said under construction or renovation come back soon showed up but after a while it stopped doing that too.

A lot of work went into that its a shame its gone. :(

Our hosts have the beginnings of a similar website in coinflation.com. They have Mexican and Canadian pieces, though nowhere near as in-depth as currencydebasement.com
It would be nice to see them complete that project in a similar fashion.

There is enough on the page you posted on copper coins to make me happy . the metal value wasn't important so much as what the different coins were made of and the weights without having to get Krause out every time
