New Pop - all about perspective

A couple of things about this pop. I was impatient and didn't like the 45 day wait period listed for the monthly special, so I sent in a small order of 14 of the 'best' cards separately. I sent the small order in 3 days before this order, under the 10 card bulk option with a 35 day potential wait period. I find it funny that the bigger/cheaper order popped first, and I'm pretty disappointed in it, and I'm anxious to see the pop of the small order, and obviously that is why I paid $10 per card. So my perspective has changed a bit now, that I will only submit cards in different service levels based off the value of the card, not becauseI 'hope' to get it back sooner.

All the commons I hoped for 10's, 70's stars I hoped for 9's and wanted 10's in all 4 Bond's and any 80's card all of which I could not find a single flaw with. Didn't get one 10, and all the stars came back as 8's. So, I took this one on the chin. I can't seem to figure out 75's, other than, that i feel you can generally just deduct one grade from whatever you 'think' they will grade.

Oh well. i will keep trying for that 'big' pop, where I hit a bunch of 10's or a really big card. Maybe my smaller order will reveal something more to my liking.

I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit it very much. Curveball, bats are afraid.

75's are super tough to land better than 8. If you have any that look like a 9 I would submit for a review at some point down the road. I recently had a PSA 8 75 mini Bench bump to 9. Good luck with the smaller sub.

Man, not one 10. Sorry for that, and I feel they have been a lot tougher as of late with giving out 10's. If you truly feel that the 80's cards were perfect in every way, a phone call from you can put the order "on hold", and they will review it. I'm sure you know that though. Also if you wouldn't mind, could you post scans of the 80's 9's when you get them back? I appreciate it and best of luck on your other sub.

Always looking for OPC "tape intact" baseball wax boxes, and 1984 OPC baseball PSA 10's for my set. Please PM or email me if you have any available.

Better luck on the other sub. I've actually thought about doing what you tried with subbing different levels based on speed of turnaround but like you said poppage seems to have no rhyme or reason these days.
