Pedigree Sets

I posted the below in the U. S. Coin forum; perhaps the wrong spot.

I've often wondered about the the requirements of getting Pedigree Labels for a set. The PCGS Benefits page states:

"If you participate in the PCGS Set Registry program your set may qualify for the free pedigree service. The free pedigree service policy is as follows:
◦The set must be 100% complete.
◦The set must be in the top 5 in the Registry."

The question is does the set need to be in the Top 5 All Time Finest or just the current? Does anyone know?

I love them Barber Halves.....

And if memory recalls me correctly, just because you meet the above stated requirements does not necessarily mean its done deal. PCGS reserves the right to determine if your set is "worthy" of the pedigree designation. Or you can do like I do for fun and giggels and make you own labels and call your set a pedigree anyway.... Just saying.
