Starting my first set - Indian Head $2-1/2 Gold Date Set, Circulation Strikes (1908-1929)

As primarily a hoarder/stacker of silver for so many I have long resisted the urge to acquire anything graded. However , the $2.50 and $5.00 Indians have always made me stop and look anytime I see someone posting one or talking about the issue.
I have spent time doing the research to understand the grading rarities and survival rates. This basic 13 coin set is fairy easy to put together in 62-64 which is my target.
-Is it bad form to reach out to other builders who have exposed their email inquiring about xtras they may have?
-who is the board pro around here with this set?

I have reached out to other members for a couple of reasons, to solicit advice about the set and to see if they have any dups they would sell. The quarter eagle is a set Id like to do myself, but too many irons in the fire currently. Dont know of any of the "pros" with the set, but you could ask around on the general boards and get a few answers I bet.
