EXO: 1914 German "entry into Paris" medal

I'm reading Guns of August & came across mention of these. If you know WWI history (or read this lot desc) you'll know the Germans never entered Paris in WWI. Instead they got nailed at the Battle of the Marne. Here's the medal, apparently there are fakes:
