Pack Grading Rookie Questions

I am submitting packs for first time 1979 Topps Hockey, 1980 Topps Basketball x 3, 1981 Topps Football.
I am confident they are authentic and unopened, but not sure what to look for as far as the gum goes. I recall reading gum being broken lowers grade. Also what if one of the corners is torn on pack, what is best grade to expect? Thanks

Torn corner likely limits grade to NM 7, though I have seen NM-MT 8 packs if corner tear is slight.
Loose or broken gum may prevent the pack from being graded at all as PSA will often return packs in which gum is loose or broken due to liability reasons (wrapper tears in transit).
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Thanks tim. Will they give a voucher if no grade because of gum? Could the voucher be used for something other than pack grading?
I believe they will, though vouchers aren't typically given out now. They just subtract that fee from your total when charging your card.

How do these look? I think the gum is broken in all of them, except maybe not the hockey pack. One of the basketball packs has torn corner at top left.
i see lots of 6 grades
