A psa 3 nnof frank thomas sold last night for $2089.00! This card has been going up for a year now. It seems this long underappreciated card is finally getting its due. I wonder what a mint 9 would sell for now?

Yep. There was a bit of a surplus on the market around the time he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Since then, the supply has been pretty thin over the past two years. I had posted a few times on here several years ago that I saw no reason why it couldn't approach the value of a 1952 Topps Mantle.
It makes sense that it should be an important card. A rare HOF rookie with a cool story about it from a time when the hobby was exploding in popularity.
