Doldrums between football and baseball

I am essentially a two sport fan -baseball and football. Basketball and hockey hold less and less interest for me - college basketball might be more interesting if my school ever had a decent team.
Anyway, this is the worst time of year sports-wise. Waiting for opening day -dreaming of another Royals run...

I agree. I hate this time of year. March madness means nothing to me. Can't wait for meaningful baseball games
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
March madness is the only time of the year I watch basketball. Then its on with baseball season.
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
I don't enjoy college basketball anymore because any player with above average talent is one and done. Kentucky is good every year but their players are only mercenaries waiting to get out and get paid. (Not that I blame them). I do enjoy the NBA. Marvelous athletes, many competitive games, looking forward to a rematch in the finals.

Love this time of year. I dig the Association (playoffs right around the corner), and I dig golf even more (I attend the Shell late March/early April, followed by the Masters). In terms of the three major sports, baseball is a very distant third on my list now.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Baseball is also third on my list after college football and Bowling.

Actually bowling yourself? I used to love to bowl , although I'm in Mass and that meant candlepins . Bowling was all over TV a few decades ago a good friend I bowled with was on Candlepins for cash which was must see TV at the time.
I can't think of the last time I saw bowling on TV though even with 10 times as many channels as there were then. I haven't thought about bowling in at least a decade , maybe its time to rent some shoes .
Are you in a league ?
I have watched bowling on espn the last four Sunday afternoons. February is a big month for the tour as three majors are held that month. Yes I do play in leagues.
Bowling is still the most popular recreational sport in the u.s.

Bottom line is I am ready for opening day and fretting on a daily basis about the Royals. Despite the tragic loss of Ventura and not keeping Wade Davis, I have hope. Lorenzo Cain needs to bounce back and corner players (Gordon, Hosmer and Moustakas) need to play up to press clippings. I still like the bullpen butDuffy has been getting rocked so far in spring training so that better turn around real quickly or my team is in trouble.

Basketball (Pros),Golf, and NASCAR sees me through until baseball starts.
I no longer watch NFL or NBA. They poked their fans in the eye with their anti-American behavior.

I enjoy the NFL news this time of year, franchise tags, free angency etc, it's almost enough to tide me over until the Sox start. No interest in Hoops or Hockey
I love MLS it just started so I am stoked. Is anyone watching the World Baseball Classic? I am going to see a few games...
Hockey and basketball I wait for the playoffs/March Madness. Champions League soccer across the pond gives me something to watch. Go Bayern Munich!!
Two soccer fans back to back? hmmm, I didn't realize there were that many non U.S. members on this forum.
