Update> Misprinted $50 Bill... Is it valuable?

Hi All,
I just joined this group to get some information on what appear to be a misprinted $50 Bill that I found when
cleaning out my mom's old house. It was with her papers along with a few $2 Bills and a $1 Silver Certificate.
The bill appears to be double printed on the face side, perfectly normal on the back side.
Any thoughts on if this is a rare bill?
I checked ebay and did not see anything like it.
I would appreciate any feedback or suggestions you folks might have for me.

It looks like it might be an authentic error and a pretty good one at that.
If you get it certified and graded by PCGS, it should be worth at least $3000-$5000.
Heritage sold two of these, one in 2003 and another in 2005 for $6700 and $4800+. Both are from the same serial number range as yours but possibly slightly nicer grade.

I think that you could get Heritage to have it certified with PCGS before they auction it and this would be the easiest way to get the best price. For a note of this value, the small fee should pay for itself many times over. The cost would be perhaps $40(?) and the added value is likely to be at least in the hundreds.
You've got a dramatic and valuable error note. Mom did good.

Update!
First off I want to thank you folks for your help with my Mom's $50 Bill.
I followed Sellitstore's advice and reached out to Heritage Auctions.
They thought the the note could possibly be worth $3,500 to $5,500 at auction.
They advised that if I choose to sell the note via auction, they would take care of having it graded and then enter it into their upcoming auction.
So long story short...this $50 Note will be up for auction at the Chicago CSNS Auction April 26 - May 2

PCGS certification and auction through Heritage are the best and easiest choices for selling this note. It will get very wide exposure and will sell for what it is worth. Congratulations on your significant.

Great find! I could see that in my collection. Today I asked a dealer if I could look at some of his error bills. In his small stack was was the same error bill but in a $20 denomination. I believe it was a 1990. He would not part with it or give me a price. Said he might send it in someday for a grade and maybe to an auction. I told him about your bill and your story. Thanks for sharing your bill.

OK, it sold for $2800+BP=$3290. What price does HA charge the seller fees on? How much would the seller get paid?

I believe the charge to the seller would be in the 0-10% range. That's just a guess.
Reminds me of the 1955 Doubled Die Lincoln cent. Would make a nice pairing. Very solid appealing error.

Yes, the note sold for $2800 and HA charges a 15% Sellers Premium.
Settlement is not until mid June.
So $2380 Net for a Note my Mom had stashed away in her dresser drawer.
