    Not sure what it is but that seam in the rim doesnt look good for authenticity.

    The last photos look like two pictures of one side of the coin.

    It does not look real to me either.

    I agree the seam is bizzare. I am open to all criticism of the coin as I am critical of it myself. Scratching with a knife has no effect. How can I determine if it really is fake?

    First you need to figure out what it's suppose to be. Then you can compare it to the authentic examples, or check the minting process. If whatever it's suppose to be suppose to be struck, you know what you have is a face because it's made from a cast. Looks like 2 casts, actually, and then two parts joined together.

  • Thanks, i have looked at thousands of old coins and the closest I can find is old coins from Iran on numesta. Close but no match.
