I had some grades post today from my crossover special submission. 2 for 2 at grade.
1799 $1 20
1886 Ty 1 1c 64BN
Has anyone else received grades for the special yet?

Nice. I just shipped one off today. Sounds like yours turned around pretty fast.

Hope its a sign to come! Sent 3 coins out for my first crossover attempt ever!
Is the IHC toned? Any pics?
Good job on the 2 for 2.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I am about to send 47 off (mostly old ANACS and NGC) and will have economy, regular, and express submissions. I'll update when I have results.
Figure i might as well include what they are and my projection (min grade)
1917-s type 1 quarter NGC64FH (64FH)
1818/7 bust half ANACS45 (XF40)
1842 med date half ngc58 (AU55)
Isn't the February special is a walk-through rate if successful. There is no economy, express or regular rate.
I had one order of 13 go 100%
two 20-coin orders went 75% each.
I a have a set of 1858 cent Patterns in right now which should go 100%
Having the coin crossover with a $125 fee and 1% value added fee is a rather expensive addition to the cost of the coins, but I think it is worth it.
IHC is nicely toned. MessydeskViews will be posted when I get the coins back.

I figured it would be toned nicely...that's why I asked
I'm impatient...you should have taken pics before sending them in

The collector's club special is at any service level during February -- no cross, no grading fee.

Thanks. Didn't know that.
That is for collector members only, not dealers. Dealers are $10 per failed cross???
Did you submit under the regular tier? What was the time from arrival to grades posting?
Marked as received by PCGS 2/13 (although it was earlier than that based on USPS tracking), grades posted 2/23, shipped 2/24. Submitted under the regular tier.

I was thinking of trying this, PCGS certified coins sell better. But on an economies that get picked up by PCGS it was 5 business days before they were logged in. I was told they are very busy now.
Today is the last day for this "special", get it post marked by close of business.
BST transactions: dbldie55, jayPem, 78saen, UltraHighRelief, nibanny, liefgold, FallGuy, lkeigwin, mbogoman, Sandman70gt, keets, joeykoins, ianrussell (@GC), EagleEye, ThePennyLady, GRANDAM, Ilikecolor, Gluggo, okiedude, Voyageur, LJenkins11, fastfreddie, ms70, pursuitofliberty, ZoidMeister,Coin Finder, GotTheBug, edwardjulio, Coinnmore...
If shipping USPS, you could probably print out your postage before midnight tonight and ship tomorrow, unless shipping registered. I don't think the PO adds additional postmarks to online postage labels.

I have 2 regular orders in since Feb 8 but no results yet. I have 2 other orders USPS shows was picked up on 2/24 but PCGS doesn't show them logged in yet. I'll report back grades when they post.
I am 5 for 6 with one order pending yet.
Wow! There is a huge disparity in statistics:
Average per month crossover attempts (last 12 months) 2380:
Success (average last 12 months): 42%
Last 30 days: 4,479
Success Rate Last 30 days: 30%
It looks like several others had the same idea that I did and included a few borderline/iffy coins in hopes the pieces would cross.
I was lucky: 1 for 1 at grade...$2.50 1856-O @ AU53...TrueView not up yet...
As promised, here are the MessydeskViews of the two I got back today. The cent is 64BN, the dollar 20.

I went 3 for 4 upgrades with one DNC.
The DNC went back in the mail yesterday.
"Back" to PCGS or where you got it from?

Back to PCGS for another try. I'd actually sent it the first time in January, and figured it won't ever be as cheap to try again as it was to give it another go under the special. I believe it should cross...just may take a few tries as it's a significant coin.
I went three for three (submitted 2/21). One was a 1936 Lincoln in a 67RB* NGC holder and it crossed as a 67 RD. I wasn't even thinking the designation could change. I would have preferred to keep it a 67 RB but I can see how there was probably enough red to warrant the change. I was hoping to make the first 1936 PCGS in 67RB. The other two crossed at their assigned grades (65BN).
0 fer 1...

If you go to their statistics page crossover rates were in the low 30s but coming back up now.
Hopefully that means good things for my pending submissions, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
I went 7 for 8.
still waiting...:(
Well I did not do as well as I had hoped. I went 4 for 10, which is probably average.
The coins that did cross are as follows (they are all Washington Quarters):
1960 Type B MS-66
1963 Type B MS-66
1952-P MS-66+ (CAC)
1945-P MS-67
The coins that did not cross are as follows (again all WQ):
1940 PR68 CAC
1943-S MS-66
1946-D MS-67
1952-S MS-67
1951-D MS-67
1959 UCAM68
Well the more expensive coins did not cross. I will have to send in the 1940 PR68 CAC again. The others I may just crack out and send in raw. Not sure what to do with the 1959 UCAM68. The price of these have come down quite a bit the last year and after I got the coin in hand I don't think it will ever cross. But with the special they had I thought I would try.
Here is my Washington Quarter Variety Registry Set
This is my Washington Quarter Proof Variety Registry Set
4 out of 5 crossed
3 at grade
1 upgrade from AU53 to AU55 (Wooohooo!!!)

Finally!! My crossover results posted today!! Went 3/3 crossing at exatly the min grade i put down.
1917-s type 1 quarter NGC64FH (64FH) crossed at 64FH
1818/7 bust half ANACS45 (XF40) crossed at xf40
1842 med date half ngc58 (AU55) crossed at au55
I've now dropped to 3 for 5 upgrades as the 2nd go around with this coin didn't fare any better yielding a 2nd DNC.
Still waiting...on business day 21 for mine.
Went 0 for 4 with less than year old ANACS grades. All the ANACS grades were MS 66 and 67. Washington quarte graded MS 67, 2 Franklins both MS 66 FBL a 1932 one cent MS 67 Red. All the ANACS grades were off. Any ideas?
Yes, don't buy Anacs.
No more for me! All of the coins i put away in the mid 80's
still waiting.................
It's extremely difficult to cross a high grade early Lincoln in any holder (in mine and others' experience on these boards).
https://pcgs.com/setregistry/showcase/2819
3 out of 4 was charged for the one the did not cross... Called Customer service, no call back... I think they are working on it. I got a call from the accounting department and it took awhile for me to explain the situation, they did not get it. Very frustrating...
So the one that didn't cross was an old soap holder NGC world coin from 1813. Way undergraded but it has a collection number on the coin in black ink, It did not eat into the surface. But PCGS said it was environmental damage and thus would not cross....
How long after your orders were received did PCGS charge your credit card? PCGS still hasn't charged my CC. The coins were received in the middle of March because Registered Mail was so slow.
@cameonut2011 They hit PCGS on Feb.23 and my card was charged MArch 20th
Thank you!
When they are ready to ship back - sometimes they do not know what the total cost will be until graded.
had 4 ms65 Washington quarters - 2 NGC crossed, 2 ICG did not
I went 4 for 4 on an economy order of some really neat common (but uncommonly) toned coins. Will post some images soon... All were NGC
Still waiting, business day 25
Mine posted today. I submitted 20 NGC graded Seated Half Dimes; 15 crossed at the same grade and 5 DNC. Not bad.
