Hi and Welcome to School! I say school because you'll not only be taught in coins, but in many areas. Such as, in ethics, manners and in business. You came to the right place for a widespread of information. This Forum is well knowledgeable in just about any coin questions, as well as, unrelated to coins. We even have a Professional Error guy, I call him, the Professor.
Your first post is an interesting one. I see your question was already answered right away. Keep in mind though, that your 1992 Cent can be a surprise after all? Check the Reverse, look at the word, America. If the first two letters, AM, are close to each other, as opposed to separate, you have yourself a very hard sought Variety Coin! Nice Big premium. (Check the PCGS Price Guide) Anyway, Nice to see 'ya aboard. Remember, post often and don't be a stranger. Also, the most important thing, have FUN! Once again, Welcome To our Forum. -joey :)

    Hi and Welcome -

    It's not really an error.

Die deterioration is the cause, as mentioned.

I use the term 'worn' or 'overused' dies, as that's
a bit more descriptive to those who find these in
circulation, and want to know what they are.

    Good eyes, keep lookin'........
