DRG:
If it seems my reaction to your thread was overdone, you are probably correct. For that I apolgize. I realize you are a serious IKE collector and rather new to posting coins for sale. My comments grew out of a frustration that I and others may have that we are being blasted with spam on this Board. Please understand that you broke no PCGS rules for posting here, only some of our preferences. You are certainly no where near the worst offender. I only highlighted your posts because they were at hand on the first page.
You should understand why we are frustrated. First, as a serious IKE collector myself, I am very interested in high end offerings, and often buy such pieces. I appreciate posts on this Board offering quality material. Clicking on your post did not offer an opportunity to buy a coin but only an ad for an auction. Excitement about a rare offering was replaced by a sense that I wasted my time, and frustration. Also, many members regularly auction material on eBay. If everyone posted such ads we would be overwhelmed. Members often start serious discussion threads. Sometimes there are only a few initial responses. However, as others see the thread more discussion is generated. Many spam messages push these off the first page, and so they don't get the exposure they might deserve. That's why we have the B/S/T Board.
Here is what I recommend. If you want to sell a coin to Board members list the series, date, description, a picture if available, and preferably a price. If you have multiple items to sell, place them in the same thread. If no one orders the coin, indicate it is going to ebay or wherever by editing the same post. Actually, that might generate some last second interest. Try to keep your page one for sale threads to just one. Don't use this Board to advertise eBay or TT auctions unless you are offering members the chance to buy right now at a price.
Hope these suggesions are useful. If followed these guidelines would certainly increase the chance that I would order from you. And again, please don't take my previous posts as personal attacks. They were certainly not so intended.
Cheers
Greg

I like to pursue my collecting to get away from the negativity/death I deal with in the E.R. every day. I am glad to see some positivity return to this forum.
Cheers,

I think it is time to hold hands, sing Koumbaya and continue the search for the elusive 1972p Type 2 in MS67.
Chris
I love Ike dollars and all other dollar series !!!
I also love Major Circulation Strike Type Sets, clad Washingtons ('65 to '98) and key date coins !!!!!
If ignorance is bliss, shouldn't we have more happy people ??
Chris, since you're wanting a T2 in 67, send any T1 or T3 in 67 to me for safekeeping.
