1952 Bowman Football - large vs small thoughts?

Which do you guys prefer? I am building the Pro Football HOF RC Set I have been only purchasing the Large size. I am torn b/c I see the small versions are cheaper and more available. I am looking to stay in the PSA 5-6 range. Plus, since I already have some of them in the Large size, my OCD will struggle with having both sizes in the registry set.

Personally, I prefer the larger cards. If, however, cost is a limiting factor, you'll do better to go for the small cards. The Lansford and all the short-prints will quickly drain your wallet on the large ones. The short prints are not a factor with the small versions.

I have all the large LA Rams cards, and luckily, the only short print I had to deal with is the Joe Stydahar.

I would enjoy the sheer challenge of the large cards, in lower grade -- one at a time. If the wallet could take it, the same challenge, but in higher grade!

I agree with you- Large all the way. It should be manageable as long as I stay in the PSA 5-6 range. I think they look much nicer....not to mention the SP component is nice as well. This is a long term project so I am ok taking my time and not just buying the endless BINs listed on ebay. I am about 83% done with the set.....so many it will be complete in another 5 years or so. I still have most of the super expensive cards to purchase though.

    Thx for your thoughts.
