Does anyone know Scott-Western?

I love the store, but am having a really hard time ordering from them. They're not returning calls, the emails won't go through, and the website is still offering the red book from 2013 as a "new release". I'm wondering if they're still in business? I hope so.

You certainly are a patient person. Based on what you said above, I wouldn't buy from them with a gun to my head! :)

I knew the man in charge. I met him many years ago at a Long Beach show. He was a gruff old son-of-a-gun. My kind of man. Unfortunately, he died a year or so ago. We had many things in common. It turned out that his business was just two blocks down the street from mine. He was tucked into an industrial site out of view so I never saw his place. I thought I knew everybody in town but I was wrong. After I found out that we were neighbors, I'd drop in every once in awhile. Mainly just to bit#ch about the current state of the planet, etc. Anyway, since he died I drive by his old place every once in a while. The sign is still up but nobody is home. I do know that his ex-wife was trying to carry on the business right after he died but it was all a touch-and-go affair at that time. I think he was a Marine. I seem to recall that he had the same Marine decal on his car that I have on mine. We never talked about it. Anyway, I miss him. R.I.P., old buddy.

Everything Hydrant said, gruffy great guy. I think he passed 2-3 years ago now.

That's some good info @Hydrant and sorry that you lost a friend.
Sounds like he was an interesting character.
