Cashback Alternative to eBates and Mr. Rebates

thunderdanthunderdan Posts: 3,036 ✭✭✭

Ebates and Mr. Rebates are a flat 1% cashback with both capped at $50 max per transaction.

BeFrugal is one I've recently been using, and cashback purchases on all eBay is 1.2% with no cap.

Good catch. I hadn't seen that. Must have been a recent change. eBates does cap the benefit at $50 per transaction similar to Mr. Rebates. Sometimes they go higher than 1%. Not sure if BeFrugal will be doing that. Stay tuned.

I've been using Swagbucks for over a year now and have had a good experience. Always get at least 1% on eBay, but sometimes more when they have promos... not cashback though, but you can use the points to get PayPal credit or Amazon gift cards so it's basically cashback. And once per month, you can redeem 2200 points for a $25 gift card, so that makes it slightly better than 1% back if you do that each month. Lots of other ways to earn points too if you want, like watching videos and doing surveys, but I just do it for cashback on purchases mostly.

If you use this referral link to check it out, works for me too :)

Ebates is the way to go, they often give up to 5% cashback on cards during promos (especially around the holidays). Sign up here!

I like ebates but they seem to miss purchase I make. With Mr rebates I never have that problem.

Ebates does have a simple submission form if they miss anything, basically copy and pasting the order confirmation email, they post the cashback in a day or two. They also have a cool browser extension that notifies you when you visit a site eligible for cash back... and a one click option to activate the cash back.

I prefer ebates -- they were at 5% for Sports Cards/Mem for a long stretch there

I've been using Ibotta for 2% cashback. However, it's not always available apparently. You can check it out https://ibotta.com/r/njujcih
