What if you could get only 1 more item?

alifaxwa2alifaxwa2 Posts: 3,104 ✭✭✭

I am down to 1 more true need (Alec Guinness Star Wars 1977 topps auto). I'd be happy to find that and never acquire another item.

Based on your collection right now, if you could only get 1 more item of meaning (not strictly value), And then never collect again, what would that last item be?

Looking to have some custom cuts or plain custom cards built? PM me.

A 2018-19 Philadelphia Flyers 2x Stanley Cup Champions fully autographed team photo with Conn Smythe inscriptions from Provorov (2019) and Voracek (2018).

If that is not happening, after a few more upgrades on other cards in the set, I wouldn't mind a PSA 7 or 8 1954-55 Topps hockey #1 Dick Gamble.

For me it would be a 1921 W551 Ruth - it is my last card remaining in that set.

The Gretzky rookie that my dad bought me raw circa 1996, I had graded in 2004, and sold in 2006 to help pay for school. I have been checking eBay daily for years hoping it shows up. Hopefully it hasn't been the victim of a crackout.

Nice! I like the thought process. Wouldn't want to see it come true though.

I'm too new at this to hang them up for any old item. I thought Perreaults RC OPC PSA 10 Pop 1 might do the trick but nope. It would take either Mike Eruzione's game worn jersey from the '80 Olympic USSR game, or the flag draped over Craig's shoulders.

  • Mine would be a signed 8X10 of me and Steve Largent locked in a bromance hug ;) . Ok let's be honest that's not going to happen lol, 1977 Topps Mexican Steve Largent PSA 9. Mic drop!

There are no PSA graded on ebay right now in any grade. What's the story on this card?

Almost impossible to find in high grade, well centered. There are 572 cards in the 1960 set. I have 571. I let one slip through my fingers about a month ago when one came up on a BIN only a bit over VCP. Someone was faster on the trigger.

I'd have to go with a signed '52 Topps MICK.

Card: 1963 Fleer PSA 10 Lance Alworth. No brainer, my Dad named me after him.

MULLINS5 - My heart goes out to you, bro. I sincerely hope you somehow find that one. You had a very good reason to part with it; I went through something like that. I sold my '52 Topps Mickey Mantle back in the mid-90s to help raise money for a down payment on a house. I'll never see that card again, but we're in a house instead of that dreadful hundred-year-old upstairs apartment on top of a hardware store.

Is your father still around that you could buy one that please you and have him give you the card, with someone taking a picture of the occasion?

Anyway, wishing the best. ---Indiana Jones (Brian Powell)

I would say 1996 Pinnacle Foil No. 289 in PSA 10.

In all seriousness, this feels like the Kobayashi Maru. Like Kirk, I don't accept the no-win scenario. ;)

Thank you for the kind words Brian. I agree that it was sold for a good reason and life wouldn't be the same without my college degrees. Luckily he's still around and I think that's a great idea you brought up, so maybe it will end up coming to that :) Thanks again!

MULLINS5 -- You are most welcome, my friend. A good ending is better than plain frustration and regret. Take care, bro. ---Brian Powell
