1971 Topps Baseball Stars: To Grade or Not To Grade, That is The Question....

Picked up this fresh batch of 71s that show minimal wear. Am considering grading some of them for resale and figure if I can get 7s (or better) might be worth sending in to PSA. Your thoughts on potential grades and if worth sending in? The Munson has wax stain back so I will probably not send in, and the Yaz tipped corner.

I would think you could get psa 7 money raw for them if you were to sell if that is what you are thinking they will pull.
looks like 4-5 would get 7's
I think they are a great lot of cards. Any interest in selling them please PM me...
thx

Well, not much of response. A few more. The Perry the best. Hard to pull the trigger 'cause if less than 8 I lose.

From what I can see, you're right about the minimal wear. What bothers me a lot are the edges, I can see a lot of chipping on them. Also I don't know if it's your scanner or print spots. If they're print spots, there are several cards that have a lot. I'm not sure how strict PSA would be. So I guess if you could sell them raw, that's what I would do. I know if I were to send them in for grading (and I think 71's are worth grading) they may only be 6's. It's your decision.
That Perry will not get an 8. I learned my lesson the hard way with 1971s a couple of years ago. Every other issue I've submitted I've rarely gotten sub-8 grades, but with this set, multiple corners with ANY white showing equals 6 or 7 grades. I submitted over a hundred beautiful fresh cards and only about 15% got 8s, tons of beautiful 7s.
I think it depends on what you have into them. If you paid psa 6 or 7 prices probably not worth it. If you bought them in a lot they might pay for the lot if you grade them.
T222's PSA 1 or better
Nice cards. I would send them in to Beckett or Sgc.
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
