Party/Sports Events

Spent the last couple days at the Phoenix Open and it was epic. Had a suite at 16 on Saturday. It was an epic party. However, tho whole thing is more party than sports. Over 200,000 at the golf course yesterday, during the day, and that's followed by a concert at night. The vast majority are 20-30 year olds drinking and not watching golf. We were talking about if there are any other such "sports" events like it? Maybe the Kentucky Derby? One person mentioned UGA v. FLA football as a possibility. Any other ideas? If you like parties I suggest you check out the Phoenix Open one year.

I have not been to a NASCAR race. I have sat in luxury boxes at many sporting events, including UFC, and none have been close to the Phoenix Open in terms of total party atmosphere. Per the internet there were 204,000 people at the course on Saturday and per my count approximately 193,587 were drunk and having fun. It looked like a Vegas day-club scene to me. The 16th hole was really wild. The fact that it was a golf tournament made it even crazier/funnier. I would like to check a NASCAR event one of these days.

Patriots Day game at Fenway. There is no drunker day at Fenway Park during the season. Folks get to the bars at 8-9AM and don't stop drinking all day, whether they go to the game or not. Beer lines are constantly 30 deep at every concession stand for as long as the beer is flowing.
