Collage for sede vacante set

I got carried away in Powerpoint this weekend and managed to put together a collage that I am going to insert into the header of a set I am building ATS. I didn't realize that you could "trim" the background from coin images to create the overlapping collage effect. What you see is essentially a PPT slide saved to JPG format.

My intent was make a visual connection between the detailed die work of the sede vacante themed coins and the ornate details of the cathedrals of Germany. I found this particular image of the Cologne cathedral featured on an old postcard.

Thoughts on layout, font, or composition?

Very handsome design. I really like the layout. Putting my graphic designer hat on I would say the cathedral might need a little more ground to sit on i.e. it's a tad too close to the bottom edge, and I think the two topmost coins on right and left might look better without cropping off their rims.

thanks jgenn! I appreciate the ideas. I am going to give it another pass this weekend and see what comes out. i see what you mean about the cropping of the rims. I guess I was surprised that powerpoint gave you enough tools to do something like this. I do not know enough about graphics packages or photoshop type applications, so this was my fallback.
