1986 Star Michael Jordan cards; real or fake?

JimMeantJimMeant Posts: 342 ✭✭✭

I know PSA does not grade these but they are still very desirable if real and not counterfeit.

My question is what are the signs to look for fake 86 Star Jordan cards?

Here is a pic of the lot. Not sure if it's possible to tell from the front or not.

I'd say the thing you have going for you is some are quite off center top to bottom. I tend to lean that a fake is centered much better. In either case it would be nice to see the backs if possible, or if you can see them do they have bleed on the edges?

You could always pay for the dealer to send them to steve taft or steve hart for review. They might charge $20 or something, I am unsure. If legit then you pay for the cards. Out of curiosity, what is he asking?

Scans of the back would be helpful. Legit ones often have a bit of subtle red bleeding onto the backs as Stash said. I suspect the cards are good. What is he asking on the 10 card set?
