JSA vs PSA

Hi All, I tried doing a search on this but I found too many articles. I'm looking at buying two hockey jerseys with autographs who have a COA from JSA. Would these jersey's be as valuable as if they were verified by PSA? If not, are they at least close in value? I'm new to collecting so I want to avoid buying something that isn't real (although that may not be the sellers intention since they do have a JSA COA)

Thanks

Luis

Personally, I prefer PSA/DNA over JSA and I think you will find, that sales prices generally are slightly higher with psa/dna for comparable items.

Looking to have some custom cuts or plain custom cards built? PM me.

They are equivalent. Spence used to be head of PSA's autograph authentication.

    Ok good to know!

Thanks for this. The price won't be too different I hope? Say 90% of what PSA is if not closer to 100%?

No calculation can be universally applied.

For whats its worth, I have already transitioned to using BAS (Beckett) for certain item types that I think they are better suited for.

If you want to avoid buying something that isn't real, I'd recommend that you never put blind faith in ANY loa, regardless of where it's from. No company is perfect. I use them both and recommend both, but I also recommend learning about the signatures you are interested in and doing the initial vetting yourself and then use the authentication companies for added assurance if you need it. Don't buy a graph solely because of an LOA but instead, use it as one tool of many to reach the comfort level you desire with a graph.
