Today is the day
Good luck! Looks like a wonderful coin but may be tough to move at an opening bid over retail price guide.
Lance.
But it is CACed.
This price was offered to me by a dealer.
Wanna sell the 1847-c?
I love this coin. I could not sell it for anything close to price guide.
Trying again this Sunday.
This coin is worth every bit of the opening bid.
Try to find another coin in the grade this original.
The strike and toning are sharp!!
Interesting backstory to 1861 coins: The Mint suspended specie payments toward the end of 1861 as a result of widespread hoarding of precious-metal coinage that began with the opening of the Civil War. This low-mintage 1861 three dollar gold piece apparently circulated for a short-time before it was pulled from circulation.
