I sent my 2017 Kilo silver coin into our hosts to be graded. I sent an email to customer service asking if they could grade it and got no response. So, I went ahead and sent it in. It took a month. It then they sent it no service no grade. No explanation why. I called customer service and they could not tell me why and assured me they would get back to me. A few days later they emailed me and said they didn't have a holder to put it in so they would not grade it. That was 2 days ago. I saw this today on eBay.

I have seen many 1kg coins in PCGS holders... they are very large holders that seem to have plenty of room for even larger coins. Not sure why they couldn't slab this new Canadian piece unless it is unusually thick?

Call again. I had a similar experience ATS but with a coin 'too small'. I called back with the cert # of a coin for sale at APMEX in a slab. The right person was found who was able to make sure my tiny coin was slabbed. I'm sure the customer service people on this side of the street will do the same. Just have the cert # ready to read off for the one that is slabbed.
That is cool!
Interesting coin!

Ah, I just looked at the link...neat looking hunk of silver, but that is an NGC slab. Perhaps PCGS cannot accommodate that size after all? It can't hurt to double check, but not every company can accommodate every request. This may be undoable by PCGS. I don't know.
NGC slab.
