Cooperstown calling: Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines and Ivan Rodriguez

Congrats to all three! All deserving, but I will admit to thinking that Raines was less and less a viable candidate as the years rolled on.

IMO, the best would be the 1991 Topps Traded Tiffany for Bagwell and Rodriguez.

I'm surprised that Jorge Posada is one and done. Not a Yankee fan, but I thought he would drag along for a while.

Shame it took Raines so long. He's ridiculously overqualified.

I don't know about "best", but my personal preference for Bagwell is the 1991 Gold Leaf RC

Raines best rookie card is the 1981 o-pee-chee. A lot more rarer than the topps traded.

IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED

Always feel older when players I saw as rookies make the HOF.

Note the Tiffany cards are considered great and scarcer....but for the PSA RC set they are not eligible
The future HF set has the ultra update listed for both..

Even better, make that the 1981 OPC - Gray Back version.

Typically the card in the future HOF set is the card that goes into the HOF set, correct?

It's about time for Tim Raines. He's one of the best leadoff hitters to ever play the game.

At least the o-pee-chee is a rookie card. The Raines 81 topps traded is not a rookie card
as the regular issue came out first. Just as Ripkens' 82 topps traded is not a true rookie card.

Apparently someone listed this one, PSA 9 on EBAY. The auction says it's a Pop 1.

I figured this was good timing to show off my favorite Raines card. It's actually a gray back, just not labeled that way. I've intended to send it in to be re-labeled, but I'm too lazy. Time to sell it?

Absolutely! His PSA 10s were jumping about $10 an hour last night on eBay.

    Beautiful OPC Raines rookie!
    Glad he made the HOF.
