Happy New Year Red Sox Nation
Wow, where does the time go?? Seems like they're clicking off faster and faster.
While Paul wants to continue the tradition of my opening the new Red Sox season, I'll abdicate that to someone else. I tend to be more of a harsher critic to those paid crazy salaries with lackluster performance, of which I have little or no patience...the Red Sox team being no exception. There are those however that seem to look at the players in Fenway in a different way and tend to give them a pass no matter what. I, OTOH call it like I see it and hammer players who appear to be just mailing it in...El Sapo Grande would be a classic example. Now that Dombrowski is hanging his hat on this waste, I choose not to engage any longer. Life is a short ride, I'm not gonna get worked up over this blob and other players who perform poorly. It does appear that the team has great potential for a great season...time will tell.
Father Time has a way of ringing your bell and I'm hearing it loud and clear. Wife and I intend to do extensive travelling in 2017, with Alaska, New Zealand and Switzerland prime targets, along with cruising. So, my time and effort will be elsewhere. I'll lurk when I can and hope the team does well, but I'm pretty much done with posting about rumors, trades, stats, standings and other stuff that oftentimes bends back reader's feathers. I treasure my memories of Fenway Park in the 50s and 60s, but, to me it just ain't the game it once was.
Happy New Year to all !!
Regards,
Al
