Question for the Bust Quarter specialest......

DIMEMANDIMEMAN Posts: 22,403 ✭✭✭✭✭

How can you tell the 1831 RPD301 B5 and B7 varieties apart. I assume the obverses are the same paired with 2 reverses.

Any help appreciated.

Length of arrowheads on reverse. B5 the arrowheads go near the rim, B7 arrowheads are much shorter.

Thanks Rich. Upon further study while waiting I noticed by looking at the 2 varieties on coinfacts....you can tell by how the motto lines up with the dentils.

I look forward to seeing you at FUN.
I have two 1947 DDO's and a 1959-D FS-502 to show you, before they go to PCGS.

    1947-P or D's

1947 Philly. I've been looking for both of the 1947-D's but haven't found either one yet.
    1959-D is circ, probably XF.
