Ok, so I saw this auction late and only had a short time to make a decision on whether to bid. The seller has sold quite a few expensive autographs and looks to have good feedback on them. Long story short, I took a chance and won it at what would be a steal if they are real.

Looking for opinions from the resident experts on whether these are real or not...

why? which ones you think aren't good?
Wow, that's very cool. I can't help on the autos, but I hope most, if not all, are legit.
After doing some comparisons I am thinking FAKE...but still hoping to get some feedback from some of the more seasoned autograph collectors. Thanks!
Not an expert but do have some in person Mantle autographs in magazines and his signatures pretty much ran straight across and not at such a dramatic angle like the one's shown.
The Mantles, DiMaggio and Musial are no good. That being said, I doubt the rest are real if those aren't.
Many of Mantle's signatures on magazines are at an angle. But this isn't a magazine, it's a bound book making it even more likely to sign at an angle. Many of these signatures look legit to me. I'm no handwriting expert. It's hard to believe that someone could do this many signatures, have ONE chance to get each one right, and be this accurate.
Well, I've already cancelled my purchase with the seller so if anyone is interested I'm sure they will be relisting it. In fact, I noticed afterward that it had previously sold for over 400 prior to my purchase and I suspect they cancelled as well after closer review. I know there were a lot of really good forgers for the Mantle, DiMaggio, Williams etc. so I focused on the lessor names, hoping some of those were real, but for most that I compared to psa or jsa examples, they just didn't look right over and over. My guess is that some are good, but the best ones were added to drive up value and add legitimacy as a collection. Either that or I missed out on a great deal. Probably would have made a great coffee table book at that price either way.
The angle he signed on was very inconsistent on cards and photos, so it seems unlikely to me that he'd be consistent when it came to magazines.
focusing on just the ted williams for a moment...i'm not too comfortable with it and think you probably made the right decision
and with the mantles, he didn't commonly include/inscribe his number, plus some question about angle, etc. that have already been brought up. all that together give me pause on those as well.
The previously sold one was returned once figured out fake more than likely.
