Well I would ask Wondercoin on these boards via Private message he is very knowledgeable and could help you better. As for me. First ask what you have in it, how long you have had it and what do want to get out of it. "Max value" is a moving target and means different things. Is it a First Strike ready coin? Packaged and still sealed from the first 30 days of going on sale in 1987 from the US Mint? If so and it comes back PR70DCAM from PCGS then you will max value when it is time to sell unless gold tanks. Otherwise your profit may vary. If it is not First Strike and comes back a Proof 69 Dcam it may be worth a premium over gold spot which may cover your grading/shipping fees. As for me I would not certify it myself and wait for gold to peak and move it then...
