Is C.C. Sabathia HOF worthy?

If he can somehow get to 3000K, only Clemens & Schilling have that and not in HOF, does he have a shot?

He was on pace at one point but the last few seasons have taken him out of any serious consideration.

I liked Sabathia in his prime. Pencil him in for 200 innings before the season even started. Innings eater and a battler but no, I never saw him pitch and thought Hall of Fame. His numbers don't get him there either.

No, but as a Brewers fan those three months in 2008 were glorious. What a horse, short rest constantly and he went 11-2 with a 1.65 ERA in 17 starts...7 complete games. Don't see that anymore. He went on to 59 victories in his next three seasons with the Yankees. He was very, very good in his prime.

He was well on his way until 3 years ago. The last 3 years have destroyed his chances unless he can miraculously turn it around in later years, which I don't see happening.

I remember about 7 or 8 years ago I really thought he had a chance to go for 300 wins... and then the wheels came off the wagon. Too bad.

No. Grote and the others have it right: There was a time when he was on pace. Not any more.

Moose doesn't belong. Neither does CC but at their peak, CC was better.

Early in his career, he was on his way to the HOF, along with (IMHO) Adam Wainwright and Justin Verlander, before injuries came along. All 3 are trying to return to their former greatness, so far only Verlander appears to be back on track.
