    Very glad to hear your father is talking about his service experiences in WW2. Most vets wouldn't, my dad never would. He died in 1981 at age 57. He joined the Navy Dec 17, 1941, served on USS Helena CL50 until sunk July 6, 1943. He earned a Silver Star but never told us about it. I recently found that out but still don't know what he did. War is Hell and very few talk about it. Charmy, glad to see you are enjoying your valuable link to the past as most of us couldn't.
