I'm getting emails on some threads. How do I stop them?

I figure I must have accidentally "subscribed" to some threads. How do I unsub?

Is the only way to stop them to mark all mail from CU as SPAM?

I do NOT want emails if I post in a thread.

I also JUST noticed that somehow I had clicked a STAR after the topic I kept getting emails on.
