PSA for anyone looking for a newer Dansco Japan Type Set album

I'm not selling and have no relation to the seller (other than I did throw down a lowball bid--I'm not really going for it as my slightly more used appearing one does not require replacing). I see these for sale maybe once a year if that. If anyone is looking, here is an eBay auction:

Cheaper than I would have guessed! The dollar is strong, the Japanese coins seem to be a bit weaker so maybe not a surprise. Even so, I was anticipating $150. I dropped a much lower bid early on 'just in case', but that was clearly blown out of the water. Looks like the seller has a lot of other albums...must have gotten some new/old stock in.

I realize this has not-so-much to do with the Japanese type set album, but perhaps two years ago I picked up a Newfoundland type set album and these, too, are quite scarce and can command quite a premium.

That sounds pretty cool too. The old Danscos are really neat and a great way to collect. I wish they'd update some of these.

About a thousand years ago I'd inquired with Intercept about making a new Japan type set. Basically it would have required a 5000 piece order to make it economically worthwhile to recreate/update the Dansco version with Intercept. (That was before Intercept was sold or changed their business model or whatever it was they did).
