Gold Walker.....yuck?!

I just received my coin today. Like always, I pulled out my loupe for a close inspection.... I thought I had a scratch across the upper reverse. As I looked closer, it appeared to be a long piece of lint since there was a reflection on the coin itself. SO I separated the capsule, lo and behold I found two long hairs in the capsule! YUCK! ....the coin is fine now, I guess!! ;0)
What we've got here is failure to communicate.....

i guess when you 70K of anything...you're bound to have something like this happen. i am sure the gold will be fine.
You should ask if you can return them.
I suggest you send the sample in for DNA testing to find out if they are a part of your family tree.
Then finally, someone to carry on the tradition.
OP must really like to split hairs in a discussion.....
Sounds like a pu-bic notice:)
Were they thick and squiggly??
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Can I respectfully suggest that if you want a perfect coin buy one on the secondary market that has already been slabbed MS70 by one of the major grading services.

The challenge with this approach is that recent Mint gold issues, as recently noted by Mitch (on the BST as an example) and others, show a variance of quality even in the 70 grade.
I don't think he's complaining about not getting a perfect coin, just a coin that is hair free, lol.

It sounds like some 70's may be overgraded.

Yes, even more so lately, and even more so from PCGS, as I have heard with the Mercuries, SLQ and as early as the UHR.
Maybe if you complain to your waiter you'll get a free dessert, or a 2017 proof set

Same thing happened with one of my Truman C&C sets.
I sent it in for entombing. I wanted a "Hairy Truman" label.
I didn't get it...
Nice LOL. I received a proof set from the mint several years ago where the half has a real nice finger print on the obverse! and here I always thought they handled the coins with white cotton gloves! LOL
Did it leave a hairline scratch?? I always wondered what caused them.....
