PSA: EBay Top Rated Seller Discount "Glitch"
To those of you who sell on EBay:
When it appeared on my account today, most recent invoice (November 15th, 2016) did not show a Top Rated Seller discount on qualifying items.
I contacted EBay just now to determine why, and was told that this is a system-wide glitch which has been reported by a number of sellers who should otherwise be receiving a discount on their sales.
With regard to a possible resolution, the representative I spoke with did check with her superiors, but was told there is no official directive as-yet- nor is there permission to manually adjust the invoices of the affected individuals.
Supposedly the problem will be fixed in time for the actual withdrawal of the selling fees from your PayPal or checking account, but I just wanted to alert other users in the event EBay does not take action in time.
Comments
Update: I just received a message (directly from the customer service representative I spoke with) reporting that I received an account credit for the 20% final value discount.
I am unsure if this is resultant from my phone call, or a sudden, broader action on the part of EBay itself. So, I would still suggest checking affected account(s) and/ or calling EBay's customer service department if you see the same problem affecting your selling account.
Thanks for the heads up.
I had the same issue- eBay said they will apply a credit on my next invoice.
