.
have a round "coin" depicting The Buddha on one side in the meditative position with flames/ora surrounding with nothing else on the Buddha side and what appears to my untrained eye to be a host of micro mandarin characters on the other.

1/8-1/4 thick, smaller than US quarter, bigger than nickel. cupro-nickel (silverish color)?

no dates, words etc. plain edge.

i checked the world catalogs for 1901/2001 but it looks like an 1970s-2000 item. wild guess.

japan, singapore, thailand, cambodia and a few others. many google searches.

perhaps some monk-ish item? looks like legal tender imo.

seems like i've seen one before. those micro-mandarin? characters are unique for a coin item.
