I'm reasonably sure this has been discussed here, but my tech-challenged searching ability has failed to find the thread(s).
What are the diagnostics for the different obverse types, besides my own diagnostics....."I know one when I see one!" lol

As far as I know the '82-P has a single reverse type and obverse type. The '82-D (as well as all other '77 to '84 issues) appears to have two different reverse types. The easiest PUP is the distance between the right side of the N in UNUM and eagle's head is larger on the lower mintage issue. I call it the type "d" or sm motto. It is not widely recognized and some people seem to think it's a more weakly hubbed die.
Never have heard of or seen an 82 with a different obverse or reverse type.
