Because everyone needs a chalice like this

They seem to be silvered bronzes, but I don't really care if I'm right about that or not, because this is a damn cool chalice at the Schatzkammer of the Munich Residenz. I realize the Bavarian state coin collection is also there, but I didn't have time and was battling jet-lag.

Oh. My.
I would eat my porridge out of that.
If I ate porridge.
I would start eating porridge, just for the opportunity to eat it out of that.
All jesting aside, that is one astonishing artifact.
16th? 17th? century?
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
They're not silvered bronzes, they look like real roman denarii. Neat.
Very cool Mess. I think I saw it on Indian Jones and the Last Crusade
Cool giveaway. Count me in.

Oh my is right. I love it.
Whether they are real denarii or silvered bronzes, or something fabricated by the craftsmen that made that chalice, they are just great. That is one beautiful piece of art.
You got one of these to sell me?
