$3,000 1980 unopened wax pack??

Seeing where this ended almost blew my mind:
bid.robertedwardauctions.com/bids/bidplace?itemid=42884

Selling at $3k you could have bought 2 nice PSA 8 with the Bird and Magic rookie showing instead. That unopened pack market is especially strong now that 1980 packs are selling this well!!

Looks like it has a hole in the bottom left corner to boot.

ETA- It's also already been listed on eBay.

    TRIAPD

That said, I'd gladly take a just as nice PSA 9 and save the rest for other product.

I think people get real caught up in the "only one" kind of thing especially the buying group. The problem is that this could change rapidly if someone wanted to send a bunch of packs to be graded. Plenty of wax still out there.

    I agree!
Not only that, but people also get caught up in the "grade" of a pack. I think aside from having packs with tears, rips, holes etc... Grading packs is pointless. You still don't know what the cards inside look like.
