Ebay customer service sucks sometimes

I got a $75 coupon for selling coins in a promotion and bought a coin expecting it to work based on the email I received saying it only does not work in gift cards and bullion. They were of zero help to fix the issue. So I bought a cold air intake for my car instead and it sounds and runs great.

If you take "sometimes" out of your title it would be more accurate. I had a similar experience recently. Had a $50 coupon that said no BULLION, but it did not work on any coins. They basically told me "oh well." So I asked a dealer if he could change the category for one of his coins to something else, and he did. Ha.
Ebay CS is a joke, they never can do anything to help you but they can transfer it to someone else who can, who then makes you repeat the whole conversation just to transfer you to someone else.
I agree with jwitten, just as the seller to change the category and I bet 90+ of the time they will.
I've had problems as well. Used ebay bucks on an item and had to return it. Never got those bucks back. They gone.
I had the same experience with a coupon. Wish I would have thought to ask the seller to change the category.
Ebay has the worst customer service of any company on earth.
Paypal on the other hand has the best customer service of any company on earth.
Dealing with ebay Customer service same as getting a tooth puled at dentist ..pass on them.. more so since the Payal spilt

level 2 supervisor wanted to send me to level 3 supervisor, I said , forget it i'm done with eBay and hung up ....
I knew in advance it would be a waste of time going in ... should never have called .....
The coupon I had was set to expire on the 31st and one rep had said in a previous phone call on the 28th they may be able to turn it into ebay bucks. After I had used the coupon on the 30th for the CAI I get a call back on the 31st at 10:30 pm est and the rep said they would turn it into ebay bucks. I just laughed and said sure, thanks, and hung up.
They only serve one customer. That's what a 500 pound gorilla does. The rest of us don't matter in the scope of corporate earnings. So now: behave yourselves and shut up.
I agree they do suck. It would be nice to talk to someone who spoke English and I can understand them at the least .
