Here is a smaller coin of the same series as the OP's great coin, this one is not in as good shape.
As a smaller denomination, it got passed around more.
Germany Hamburg 4 Schillings 1728
Charles VI, Holy Roman Emperor
Specs: Silver, 23mm, 2.68gm
Obverse: Castle and wreath, HAMBURGER CURRENT 1728 / IIII SCHILL
Reverse: Double-headed eagle, CAROLUS VI D.G. ROM IMP SEMP AVG / I.H. L.
(Carolus VI Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus)
I'm sure that we all wanted to know what "I.H. L." meant.
"I.H. L." is Johann Heinrich Löwe, the Mint-master at Hamburg from 1725-1760.

Yeah, at one point after I bought this I was trying to get every denomination (Schilling, 2 Schilling, 4 Schilling, 8 Schilling, 16 Schilling, and 32 Schilling) of that particular design in mint state or the highest grade possible, but it was too difficult and I never got past the 16 Schilling. There are a 2 Schilling in PCGS MS66 and a 32 Schilling in NGC MS64 that are floating around somewhere though.
