PM's VS posting to a user's wall - PLEASE READ
Hello Everybody!
If you would like to PM or "Private Message" a forum user, you should be sure you are sending them a PM and not posting on their "wall."
To send a PM to a forum user, click on the user's name to be messaged, then click on the "Message" link with an image of an unopened envelope in the upper right corner of the profile or wall. This icon will be next to the user's profile image.
Type your message in the field provided and click on "Post Message." This will send the user a notification, via their preferred method, letting them know they have received a PM.
If you would like to post something to a user's wall, click on their username, once their profile page loads, click in the blank field below the word "Activity." Once you have finished your post, click on "Add Comment" to post this comment to the user's wall.
PLEASE NOTE: MESSAGES POSTED ON A USER'S WALL ARE VIEWABLE BY OTHER USERS, NOT JUST THE USER YOU POSTED IT ON.
If you have previously sent or received PM's or wall activity, we encourage you to review your wall and any other user's wall that you have messaged to ensure that you have not posted anything publicly that you wish to be private.

Thanks David,
For those of us who accidently posted a "wall" vs. a PM, is there a way we can erase it?

I know you can delete messages off your own "wall" so you should contact the person you posted to.
But maybe this time do so in a "private message." Haha!

@claychaser I would recommend PM'ing the user to ask that they remove the message from their wall. They should be able to click the small X in the upper right corner of the message to delete it from their wall.

It would be helpful if it said "POST TO USER'S WALL" on the user's wall button instead of "Add Comment".
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Can't figure out where to locate "The Wall" of the person I sent what I thought was a PM;
now being informed it's open to public critique.
This person rarely posts and hardly is ever on line .... How do I get in touch with her ?

Mike,
After you posted previously, I took a look and it is there.
I would suggest you contact her via email. I have PM'ed you the email I know of for her.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
I agree. A trivial change to the code would fix this ugly situation.
Lance.
I have no privacy online. Some of you didn't get the memo from Snowden.
Just when I thought I had it all figured out ...
Thanks for the notice. It is appreciated.

Bringing this back up.
Noticed a few fellow forum members that have posts on their walls that I suspect where meant to be PMs.
So, go check your wall’s and start deleting and/or ask the postee to delete, unless you want everyone to be privy to the conversation. 👁
Thanks for the heads-up !!!
Thanks very much.
