I've got a nice group of 1807 Capped Bust Halves I bought at a show

That's what a phone message said years ago from Don Willis before he was president of PCGS and just a regular dealer. He also said he had the one that is one of the only ones I've really chased. Oh yeah, I wasn't walking too good for a while, but got that one for sure. These days I can't even hardly find one nice, real nice 1807 CBH. Yeah, those were the days when Dave at Alpine Numismatics had good stuff also.
Dave at Alpine was kinda funny, not too many words. He just wanted to hear..... I'll take it. Or you would lose out to someone else. No hand holding etc. OK, I was just going back a bit. Some other dealers have filled part of the void these days.

The good old days
I got (and missed) some good coins from Alpine
Here's a nice group of 1807 bust halves...but I have to agree with that sentiment. Not many nice ones around these days.
And boy, do I miss Dave Olmstead's new listings on his site. I snagged several of my highly prized bust halves from his inventory. Good old days for sure!
WOW!
Be careful DDM
Those coins are edible.....
I mean incredible.
Especially that SS
Nice 07's. I remember when you got some of them. The last one is one of the nicest.
Thanks guys!
I love them all but the last one (50/20) is my favorite by far!

Quite the grouping Dave
Thanks Mike. I'm slowly getting back into it.
Hope you are well
