Thoughts on this one compared to others. Probably about average.

Everyone has their own preferences, but for me I couldn't justify paying for this card in a 10 holder. There are plenty of 9s that look "gem mint" and I would hold out for one of those. You can use the extra money to add other cards to your collection.
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona.

It's nice, but it doesn't seem any better than my 9. Of course, if my 9 could bump to a 10, then you can disregard my last statement.
To me, if I were to pay PSA 10 money, I don't want see flaws.
Agree completely.
It's a beautiful card, but there are plenty of just as beautiful 9's to be had..

Up for auction.
Has anyone seen better eye appeal than this one? I have not even though the L/R centering is not 50/50. What year is the holder?

That card was just recently graded. Holder is brand new.
L/R centering is definitely within range for a PSA 10, imo. I'm guessing 55/45. The yellow banner makes it seem worse than it actually is. If anything, I'd say it is centered a bit low.

$22,000. Wow. For that much money, it better be able to get me a beer from the fridge.
Way too much snow and 4 fish eyes/print dots in the lower area on a 10 = no way I am spending $20k+ on that. Hard thing for me on a PSA 10 card in the late 70’s/early 80’s like a Henderson or a Murray rookie is would paying $17-20k for a 10 be smarter than a 9 at $500 and using the extra money I saved for some other key cards.

The guy who's buying this card probably doesn't need to worry about a card budget (at least I hope not), lol..

The second one just linked to above is a nicer example.
I remember wheh this card first broke 10K. Not a bad appreciation in value over the past decade.

I’m not saying my 9 is better than the 10’s shown, however I think i paid $300 for it. I don’t see a tremendous difference for a bit less
Sometimes...there is a fine line between 9 quality and 10 quality...but there is a crazy two order magnitude in price...$100s vs $10000s!
I always felt with 9’s you scrutinize the card and try to figure out why it is not a 10. With 10’s it becomes where is the flaw that should have kept it a 9. Per Montes note a card going from the 100’s to multiple 1000’s is a HUGE price difference.
I'd rather have your 9 than the 10. Yours looks better to me.
I’d rather wonder why my 9 isn’t a 10 than nitpick the flaws in my 10. That and additional thousands in my bank account.
10’s can bring amazing windfalls when for sale. I won’t ever short change something that can do that. Cards, coins, or whatever. Long live the PSA 10! Just buy what your eyes justify and you won’t ever look back!
