Baz - I was also thinking that I don't know how much you paid for the box, but with that pull right there, you likely made a large chunk of your money back!
collecting RAW Topps baseball cards 1952 Highs to 1972. looking for collector grade (somewhere between psa 4-7 condition). let me know what you have, I'll take it, I want to finish sets, I must have something you can use for trade.
looking for Topps 71-72 hi's-62-53-54-55-59, I have these sets started
So awesome. I believe you said you were going to sub a couple of the packs as well. Are you tempted to bust any more of these packs now?

Thanks guys. It shipped today and I'm so excited to get it back, I will definitely post a scan of it slabbed once I have it in hand again.
The packs were a great deal, only about $31 or $32 per pack when averaged out. Came from a guy in Buffalo who used to own a shop back in the 80s, these were left from a box he sold as packs. So I definitely made out on the box, but not so much if you consider I'll probably never sell this card in my lifetime... hopefully be able to pass it on to my two boys. I never even intended to open any of the packs, the popped seals were the only reason I did. But the story, experience and memories are worth far more than the card itself, to me... especially as much as I love this set.
I do have several of the packs wrapped and ready to go for grading, but I've got a couple others from different years that I'm contemplating sending in at the same time... still waffling on those, that's the only hold up. But I did open the other couple packs with popped seals, just no big hits (a couple Kareems and a Gervin). It was also a lot later than my intended NBA tip-off rip and family life got real busy at the time. I'll try to post scans when I can.
Got the card back on Saturday... unfortunately, my scanner sucks... not good at scanning depth, flat objects are fine. But here's a couple images of the card. I'll come back and update once I've gotten a new scanner. Thanks again for all the kind words and letting me share my story...

Very nice results, well done. I was one of the people that thought the black line stops you from getting higher then a PSA8, but now I know better.
