A dream coin i was looking-hunting for many years .
_The GR goverment placed an order (1939) to Spink & Sons London regarding the minting for commemorative coins of King George II.
Minting took place at "Birmingham Mint" (ex Heaton Mint) , engravers were "Steiberger" & "Kovacs".
During the outbreak of World War II the order redused from 300 Gold 100-drachma to 140 pieces-samples.
In Greece arrived only 70 pieces of 100 Gold Drachma that were sold at the price of 20.000 Drachmas (contemporary).

Edge is reeded , Medal Alignment , Diameter 35mm, Weight 32,25gr ......mintage 140 pieces !_
Graded by NGC PF 63 ULTRA CAMEO ..........Has the usual (Proof Field) hairlines for the grade but i believe that UCAM Proof Fields are really tough for this coin type.
