SGC Grading

I am sure this has been asked before, but I cannot find past postings. What is general thoughts on SGC grading for vintage (55-58) football cards. Better, worse, about the same, as PSA? And whether there has been any luck in crossovers to PSA. I appreciate your comments.

SGC is accurate in card grading. They are a good bit more lenient in centering than PSA. It is tough to cross when the card is still in the SGC holder. Crack it out to get better results.

I would call SGC a reputable company. However, they do seem to be a tad more lenient in grading standards compared to PSA. Considering I do not particularly like their holders, their confusing scale, and the fact SGC cards generally (but not necessarily in every case) sell for less than PSA graded cards, I personally do not use them.

I think they're a solid company. However, I strictly use bvg.

I bought an sgc 88 (which is an 8) cracked it out and sent to bvg. It came back a 7.5 so they may be a tad more lenient.

I like sgc, the resale is less than psa. I seldom sell so that really isn't an issue for me. I just buy the card that looks best to my eye. I have cards from all of the big three.

I like to buy cards in their holders and remove them.

Since they've moved, i had one card graded. They said it would have been higher, but for centering. I found that kind of odd. Since when do they care?
