This Year's CC Free Grades Sub Results With Scans

I haven't been super active this year in card collecting as I've had some demanding real world priorities. I do have a little backlog on items I want to sub, so I went ahead and sent in these six for my free grades. Results were about as expected with one exception. Nothing for sale or trade here, guys. I enjoy seeing others' results and how PSA is grading these days, so here you go:

I periodically send in cards my dad had when he was a kid. Really just wanted to get this one holdered. I was expecting a 5 and got it.

Been looking for a nicely centered 7 for a long time for my '57 Set and Aaron Player Sets. Got this one raw a while back. Got the grade I expected. Very pleased.

I was expecting a 7 on this one. I don't like the little print dot in the upper left corner, as it makes it look like there's a corner touch/edge wear. Good enough for my collection for now.

Pretty nice card of my favorite player of all time. Thought it might have a shot at a 7.5.

A pretty tough card to find this well-centered, from my experience. Perfect for my '72 Set and Mays Player Sets. Got the grade I was going for.

Thought this one was an 8 for sure. Oh well. Still a nice card to me.

Take care guys,

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Some very nice subs. I have to agree with the Bench being a 7.5 candidate.

They are unfairly prejudiced against the 1971's these days. That Bench is really strong and seems undergraded to me.

I have seen 9s that look like that Bench. A tough one to find centered and undergraded IMHO from the scan. That would be a crack and resubmit in my book.

Nice haul. The '57 Hanky is a killer.

Great cards. The Bench is very undergraded.

    Appreciate today-

  • Thanks for the feedback, guys. It looks like the general consensus is that the '71 Bench is undergraded. I'd already planned on cracking it out and sending it in with my next sub. I've sent in a lot of 1971 Topps over the years. My "guess the grade" batting average is about .900 on everything but '71 Topps.

I hate that half grades are so rare. I don't find a lot of consistency in how they are assigned.

Still stoked about the '57 Aaron. It likes nice with the rest of the cards in the '57 set I'm working on.

You might want to wait awhile before resubbing.

That's a good point on half grades, why isn't there more?
