Mexico WFI SUD Denomination Set

This is the denomination set of Mexico War for Independence Oaxaca Insurgent coinage of General Jose Morelos. This currency was in use from 1811 to 1814, then withdrawn. General Morelos himself met a Firing Squad late in 1815. Today most of the survivors are the 8 real pieces, with the 1 real and especially the Medio (1/2 real) being quite rare. Enjoy. Very cool. What's the goal of the collection?

Neat coins, I've been fond of these for a while but i'm not brave enough to collect them.

Seems like you put this set together within the span of a few months. Did you just get lucky? Are they not actually that rare, or maybe rare but thinly collected?

Nice bunch. I've collected W4I for a few years, but gave up since I liked my coins slabbed and PCGS / NGC are BRUTAL when it comes to grading these crude issues.

That's because the higher grade ones (i.e. the ones most likely to be slabbed) came from hoards, buried or in a cave, so have environmental damage. There are true UNC coins out there, but they are few and far between.
